Added

  • Ruby: a deprecated operation, path, model, enum, property or parameter carries a YARD @deprecated tag with the description's deprecation text, date, removal date and version. Calling a deprecated method or navigating to a deprecated path also warns with category: :deprecated, which Ruby prints when Warning[:deprecated] is on, as it does for its own deprecations. kiota-ruby#64
  • Ruby: models generated with --backing-store keep their values in the runtime's backing store and send only the values changed since they were read, as the other languages do. Before, --backing-store generated Ruby that failed to load. Requires the runtime gems at 0.25.0. kiota-ruby#53
  • Ruby: generated clients register the text, form and multipart serializers, so text/plain, application/x-www-form-urlencoded and multipart/form-data bodies work, as in the other languages. Requires the runtime gems at 0.25.0. kiota-ruby#52, kiota-ruby#55, kiota-ruby#57

Changed

  • The accessor to a child path is marked deprecated when that path is deprecated. It used to take the deprecation of its parent path instead, so a deprecated /legacy under a live /api was not flagged, and every child of a deprecated path was.
  • TypeScript: guard union discriminator access and preserve dispatch for identifiable values even when some members lack the property; fall back to serializing all members for unidentified values without referencing nonexistent properties.
  • TypeScript: resolve factory default deserializers in the declared model's namespace, preventing unresolved references to similarly named deserializers in child namespaces. Fixes #8461.
  • Ruby: kiota info lists the runtime gems at 0.25.0.
