Remote Server Extension loading stuck at "Discovering Python Interpreters"

I am using VS Code on a remote server to which I connect through ssh.

After installing the Python Extension on the Remote Machine (Linux CentOS),
the process get stuck when "Discovering Python Interpreters".

As a result no extension is loaded, and Python functionalities simply won't work.

Here is the notification I see:

And other extensions like Pylance are not available too (for example, I would have expected the import error to be spotted)

If I quit and reconnect though, occasionally it finds the interpreters and I can use the extension.

Please provide the logs as mentioned in the issue template. Set python.logging.level to debug in User settings, reload window, then perform the steps to reproduce before providing the logs.

Output for Python in the Output panel (View→Output, change the drop-down the upper-right of the Output panel to Python)

Also, try uninstalling Jupyter extension for now, which auto-triggers discovery at startup. Let me know if it helps.

@karrtikr I can't manage to reproduce the issue (I disabled a few other extensions I didn't use as much, and I didn't have more problems). If'll have other troubles, I'll activate the debug and send the logs! Going to close for now! Many thanks!
