I have no idea how old or where you get that version of the launcher.

• If you have an outdated version this might also mean that you have to install 32bit system libraries ( you find some native package manager instruction here https://github.com/ChristopherHX/linux-packaging-scripts/releases/tag/appimage )
• If you have aquired thesonicmasters version, then the reason is he doesn't package mcpelauncher-client32
• If you only have built the UI from source you have to compile and install this launcher ( https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-manifest )
• If you have built from source you have to compile this launcher ( https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-manifest ) for i386 linux, rename mcpelauncher-client to mcpelauncher-client32 and add it to your PATH.
