v0.9.2
A library's own missing dependency no longer fails the boot on a host without Range
@missing-elements/h5p-offline-player 0.9.2.
0.9.0 added a check for libraries that ask, in their own library.json, for a library the package doesn't carry. Such a package is refused by name, and libraries supplies what it needs. An old Impressive Presentation from h5p.org is one example.
On a host that ignores Range, that check runs only once the download is done, but the frame starts as soon as the libraries h5p.json lists have arrived. So the runtime could ask for the missing library before the bundle was attached, and the load failed. The element raised error with code runtime: "Unexpected end of JSON input", or in Safari "The string did not match the expected pattern."
Now the frame waits for the download when anything its libraries need is still missing. A package whose libraries are all there still starts before its media has arrived.
Only this combination was affected: a host without Range, a package played with libraries, and a library asking for one the package doesn't carry.
The runtime stays at 0.2.2. On a CDN, update the player URL: h5p-offline-player@0.9.2. Embed 0.6.1 accepts 0.9.2, so a player domain gets the fix when its site is written again with 0.9.2 installed.
