Mercury 3.2.13 strengthens standalone app security and updates dependencies.

Security

  • Improved session isolation and restricted shared-session widget updates.
  • Limited access to server events and kernel configuration details.
  • Updated Jupyter and frontend dependencies with security fixes.

Compatibility

  • Requires Python 3.10 or newer. Building from source requires Node.js 22.12 or newer.
  • Custom widgets can still render, but browser updates require an explicitly supported widget policy in standalone mode.
pip install --upgrade mercury

Restart running Mercury servers and workers after upgrading.
