Can I use elixir-ctags in GPLv2 or later?

I would like to add .ctags to Universal-ctags(https://ctags.io); the build system of Universal-ctags has a translator that translates .ctags to C program. (See https://github.com/universal-ctags/ctags/tree/master/optlib and
https://github.com/universal-ctags/ctags/blob/master/misc/optlib2c for more details.)

To make the .ctags a build-in parser, the licese becomes an issue.

Elixir-ctags is not GPL. I have not attached a license to it. It's just one tiny little file. In general I am happy to have people use it and benefit from it; but I have no interest in having it become GPL.

You can make of that what you will. Sorry I don't have a direct yes/no answer to your question.

Thanks for the nudge. Sorry but I am not a fan of the GPL. If I put an MIT license on it, can you use it?

Wikipedia's MIT license page says, "The MIT license is also compatible with many copyleft licenses, such as the GNU General Public License (GPL); MIT licensed software can be integrated into GPL software, but not the other way around."

No problem :) I honestly don't know, I would just really like for universal-ctags to incorporate the elixir support you're providing.

Okay, I added a license file. It is what's called the "unlicense." It's more permissive than MIT. Software with the unlicense can be also integrated into GPL software, according to Wikipedia.

@mmorearty, thank you for adding LICENSE file. I needed explicitly written LICENSE.
I will integrate the .ctags for exlixir to Universal-ctags.
I will report the progress here.
