v0.2.0-preview.1 — Public preview (not clinical approval)
Docutis 0.2.0-preview.1 is a 0.x educational preview. It is not a stable 1.0, not production-ready, and not clinician approval of unreviewed content. A software tag does not clinically validate medical statements.
Highlights
- A five-case trainer (inspect, observe, differential, reveal, review) on top of the v0.1.0-preview.1 reference.
- Diagnosis stays concealed until reveal: neutral image filenames, image text, and diagnosis-bearing source links.
- Public ways to report bugs, clinical corrections, outdated evidence, feature ideas, and media or license problems.
What changed
Since annotated tag v0.1.0-preview.1 (a278393897b0a72439ae6960c69699a65fbea8f1, 2026-09-23):
- Added five open-license pilot cases. None is clinician reviewed.
- Published physician decisions already on main for actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, BCC German follow-up, the BCC dermoscopy quiz item, and the BCC clues schematic.
- Fixed Chrome UX: focus, surface, and shadow tokens; primary links stay available on narrow widths; reduced-motion scrolling; a no-JavaScript notice that does not copy clinical text.
- Added release-readiness docs and issue forms for evidence updates and media/license reports. Outdated-evidence links open the evidence form.
Not in this tag: Goal 14 / pull request #21 (pilot-case clinical review). It is still open, not merged, and not an approval.
Clinical governance status
From node scripts/review-governance.js on c28f1de75965026af25fb2d231c65e2d5f26ab3f:
- 28 units, 5 decisions, 1 consented public reviewer, latest valid human review date 2026-09-23.
- Clinician reviewed (5): actinic keratosis disease, basal cell carcinoma disease, BCC German follow-up, BCC dermoscopy quiz item, BCC clues schematic.
- Review required (23), including every pilot case: acral melanoma (plantar), nodular BCC dermoscopy, pigmented BCC dermoscopy, actinic keratosis field on the hand, and cSCC with adjacent AK. Those five cases remain review required.
- Legacy catalogue fields for all 50 disease records stay clinician review required unless a public Goal 9 decision says otherwise. Automated tests are not clinician review.
This release is not clinical approval of the 23 review-required units.
Licensing
- Code and docs: MIT (
LICENSE). MIT does not relicense images. - Four original schematics: Project-owned, attribution “Docutis project”.
- Case photographs keep their own licenses and required attribution: four CC BY 4.0 (Xavier-Júnior et al. 2015, Diagnostic Pathology; Dr. Thomas Brinkmeier / WIKIDERM for nodular BCC, pigmented BCC, and AK field) and one CC BY-SA 4.0 (Dermanonymous, cSCC with adjacent AK). Images are not MIT.
Browser and support
Verified only in Google Chrome 151.0.7922.169 on Debian/Linux (desktop, 768px, and 390×700), including a known minor focus-outline clip on the 390px nav strip. Not a phone test and not a screen-reader test. Firefox, Edge, and Safari were not run.
Known limitations
- Educational preview with incomplete coverage. Not a substitute for individual care and not validated clinical decision support.
- Most assets are still review required, including all five pilot cases.
- Older notes on
v0.1.0-preview.1described an earlier review count and do not match this tag.
Validation
Passed on c28f1de75965026af25fb2d231c65e2d5f26ab3f (Node v20.19.2): node --check lists from .github/workflows/validate.yml, node scripts/case.js, node scripts/clinical-review.js --validate, node scripts/clinical-schema.js, node scripts/follow-up.js, node scripts/media.js, node scripts/quiz.js, node scripts/review-governance.js (and --write plus node scripts/review-batch.js --write with no artifact diff), node --test tests/*.test.js (138 pass, 0 fail), git diff --check.

Upgrade notes
This is the second tagged preview, not the first. Re-check clinical-review counts; v0.1.0-preview.1 notes are point-in-time and do not describe this commit. Public reviewer shown with consent: Murat Nasuh Aras, physician in dermatology specialty training. That consent does not extend review to unreviewed assets.
