Add a script to regenerate all documents that compile. The number of passes (3) is a wild guess but appears to be enough; with a self-citing bibliography like ours it is easy to make a document that requires an arbitrary long sequence. We could try parsing the logs but this seems tricky; further
biblatex
seems to be confused and always asks for a rerun.
