I've translated the files of user-guides as the priority order of translations of monero site.

Looking forward to revisions and corrections, @lh1008 @erciccione.

You will mine Monero, but you can buy hashing power at
NiceHash only with Bitcoins. You can always withdraw unspent Bitcoins from your
account back to any Bitcoin wallet.

Sigo con mi argumento, "hashing power", "poder de procesamiento".
Ese, "You can always...", puede también ser, "Podrás retirar...", sin el siempre, ese siempre es muy enfático en el ingles y no tanto en el español, podría caer en la redundancia.

hashing power in short amount of time. You won’t have to wait for years to see
if you will make a profit or not and you can control which coin, at which pool,
and for how long you want to mine.

You can find a list of Monero pools [here](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.0).

@erciccione Why is that conflicts like a whitespace, a ".", a ":" or a double space are causing all that trouble? Just because that this is not possible to merge... but in my opinion that is not really a conflict it's just something different, like this (a single space) instead of this (double space). It's just so annoying.

EDIT: FINALLY. But it really keeps bothering me so much. I'm just not aware if those things are like that because a reason, of bugs or anything. But it really doesn't make any difference when visualizing in a web browser.

EDIT2: I'm gonna review the files not as a translator but as a reader, if I see something weird I'll update the PR, if not, it is ready to merge.

I don't understand evrything, but this is a general moneropedia consideration during translation: Keep the english @ account for now. Once you will have translated moneropedia and added the spanish terms after english terms in spanish article "account", then you'll be able to change it to @ cuenta.

Parece bien, pensaba en otra cosa al momento de traducir. Sin embargo qué les parece si utilizamos un concepto más general del español, como utilizar? Esto en caso de hacer como en otras traducciones que preferimos utilizar algo un poco distinto a la redacción original para adaptar el contexto a algo más neutral. O si se prefiere puede ser un estilo de traducción más directo y utilizar gastar en este caso.

EDIT: por el momento lo pondré como gastar para dejar listo en parte este punto.

I wouldn't use the word "utilizar" because might confuse with its definition of "use" and not spend. You are literally "spending" BTC to buy XMR.

e.g.
We "use" BTC as a media of exchange, like money, but we "spend" BTC to buy a movie ticket, and we also "use" BTC to buy a movie ticket.

I understand the context in a different meaning. Just like @ordtrogen said in the earlier comment, that we might get into a discussion if it's an, "investment = inversión", and we literally are in a discussion if it's, "spend = gastar" or "use = utilizar". :p
Spend - noun informal

  1. an amount of money paid out.

Hi @BlackLotus64 I just stopped the review here. Encountered the same issue I found with an earlier file a week ago. Translated lines are crossed with one another. The issue was fixed from my last comments so I could continue with the review. Please take a look at the file _i18n/es/resources/user-guides/ledger-wallet-cli.md, has this same issue. I also left a comment in line 57. :)

Now you need to navigate using the CMD window to the path of your Monero wallet. You can do this by typing:
Ahora necesitas ir desde la consola a la dirección de tu monedero de Monero. Puedes hacer esto escribiendo:

`cd C:\YOUR\MONERO\WALLET\FILE\PATH\HERE`

`cd D:\monero-gui-0.10.3.1`

If your Monero wallet is on another drive you can use `DriveLetter:` for example if your Monero wallet was on your D drive then before using the cd command you would do `D:`
Si tu monedero de Monero está en otro disco, puedes utilizar `DriveLetter:`. Por ejemplo, si tu monedero está en el disco D, entones antes de utilizar el comando `cd` debes escribir `D:`.

5. The Ledger will ask whether you want to export the private view key or not. First and foremost, your funds cannot be compromised with merely the private view key. Exporting the private view key enables the client (on the computer - Monero v0.12.2.0) to scan blocks looking for transactions that belong to your wallet / address. If this option is not utilized, the device (Ledger) will scan blocks, which will be significantly slower. There is, however, one caveat. That is, if your system gets compromised, the adversary will potentially be able to compromise your private view key as well, which is detrimental to privacy. This is virtually impossible when the private view key is not exported.

I think you can remove the word "debes" in the second sentence and give the same meaning. Not sure about the comma that I suggest but while reading the text, I think it could have a pause.
I will also suggest to add the word "que" that indicates the characteristic of what we are talking about, the monerod. @BlackLotus64, @erciccione suggested keeping the comments in English so I will continue the review in English.

Now that I think about this, it should be better this:

It sounds way better, the Spanish translation of either just doesn't seem to fit in that sentence for me, what do you think @lh1008 @erciccione? We were doing some things this way in other translations but I'm not really sure, it doesn't deform the original meaning of the sentence.

That is fine. What it needs to do is give the real meaning of the sentence without changing its context. Every language is different and if we just translate literally that would hurt the translation.

And to give it a more formal structure, you could take out "Tu".

I can tell by the context, but, who said that it was for monero-wallet-cli? We can just use it if it's about it, I understand that it can be just a short version of the full name (just CLI), but that acronym is for command-line interfase, and not for monero-wallet-cli. It can be used to have less characters but it's not correct.

If indeed CLI is for monero-wallet-cli, all those sentences should just use monero-wallet-cli.

Ordtrogen often says that the translation it's different than the original text, so, yes, we can use a better structure to make more sense in Spanish but that will affect the translation. "Tendrás" is "you will" and is not used in the original sentence, but we can use it, like I did in other file when the sentence was using "is being used" but I chose "will be used".

I'm really not sure about this, at least every person I know just says and knows consola de comandos and I haven't heard or seen someone using línea de comandos, they use just the sort version consola for CLI programs, which is also a synonym of terminal.

Wikipedia have an article with the name interfaz de línea de comandos and it's just a direct translation of command-line interface, but you know, it's wikipedia, and you cannot just trust everything it says. And for CLI, it may sound OK but not so good because they are an English acronym and it's kinda weird to say la CLI, I may just use consola for Windows and terminal for Linux and Mac, it sounds more own for me.

I understand your point of view, but CLI is something from the monero-wallet-cli. It's hard just to change it because it might sound weird call it "la CLI", "la consola", "la casa", "la televisión", "la computadora", etc.. Or in any case, we should have to use hole name so there won't be any misinterpretations, "Interfaz de línea de comandos(CLI)".
The "CLI"(monero-wallet-cli) is the same in Windows, Linux, or Mac. "Terminal" and "cmd" (consola) are something different in the OS, we just can't change the name.

If that's the case I agree that it keeps like interface de línea de comandos. And yes, it is included in the program but it's not an own name, it just stands for command-line interface, and like I said, you cannot just mix English and Spanish saying la CLI (la command-line interface), it should be translated at least in a way it can be said in the same way, let's suppose that there is an acronym for CLI in Spanish, so it would be la ILC (la interfaz de línea de comandos) or just la interfaz de línea de comandos. I'll just use the entire sentence for now.

We can state "la interfaz de linea de comandos (CLI)", we have to keep on using "CLI".

Saying "la CLI" is not a grammatical error. If that's the case "la Internet", "los hashes", "la pool", couldn't be used either.

2. If you use a remote node, append the `--daemon-address host:port` flag to the command in step 3 (Windows), step 5 (Mac OS X), or step 3 (Linux).
2. Si utilizar un nodo remoto, adjunta la bandera `--daemon-address host:port` al comando en el paso 3 (Windows), paso 5 (Mac OS X), o paso 3 (Linux).

The word "utilizar" translated in the text is in past tense, as in "used"; utilizar, utilizado. I think it meant "utiliza" or "utilizas", because it has a bad gramatical structure if we leave it "utilizar = used".

Where is says "flag" in the source, it should say "option" (see #827)
You'll have to decide whether to change 'bandera' to 'opción', I'm not sure which is more frequent in Spanish

In some way I agree in the term "opción", but in this case is a "flag" ("marca" as in "a signal"; without the sign, it won't "run"; "bandera"). I would vote to keep it as "bandera", with this arguments.
In the #827 issue the "option = opción" word, also, "wallet option = opción del monedero", are pointing out the options you are able to use in the command line. That's what I understand, but when you use a flag, you need to give a "special" sign in order for the CLI to run. What do you think?

Microsoft Terminology Search says "Marca".

Broadly, a marker of some type used by a computer in processing or interpreting information; a signal indicating the existence or status of a particular condition. Flags are used in such areas as communications, programming, and information processing.

I can agree with what you said about Wikipedia, as I mentioned right now in a past comment. And for the original comment, yes, I used a wrong conjugation of the verb, I'm correcting it right now.

And for the other, I haven't seen the other PR for today but I can use marcador since it's a more common word and I think it's more related to flag than "opción" or "bandera".

3. Enter the wallet name of your Ledger Monero wallet.
4. Enter the password to open the wallet.
4. Sólo tienes que utilizar la bandera `--generate-from-device` una vez (e.g. sobre creación de monedero). Después de eso, básicamente lo utilizarás de manera similar a como normalmente utilizas la consola de comandos. Esto es:
1. Asegúrate de que tu Ledger está conectada y la aplicación Monero está corriendo.

Well, it's a bit common to say it in that way here, but yes, it's more professional to use ejecutar. Said that, it can be changed to:

1. Asegúrate de que tu Ledger está conectada y la aplicación Monero está en ejecución.

If the Ledger wallet files are not in the same directory as `monero-wallet-cli`, you ought to open `monero-wallet-cli` with the `--wallet-file /path/to/wallet.keys/file` flag. Alternatively, you can copy the Ledger wallet files to the same directory as `monero-wallet-cli`.

That's the problem sometimes, there should be another world in English to say exploit rather than that one, so, should I use something in Spanish like hacked or change the phrase to something like:

I believe the miner gets exploited and they can put on a different xmr address. If the miner gets exploited, they can also exploit your OS because they already have control of the device. With this guide, you eventually avoid getting your OS exploited, while using the miner with docker. That's what I understand about this guide.

What are your thoughts about the comment I made above of the words "corre, corriendo" for "run"?

e.g.
"Run the miner" / "Run the following" in terms mean different procedures made. One is involved in a computer process (run the miner) and the other is a "typing" process in the "terminal or cmd" to run the miner.

I have made some thoughts about the comments from the "flag" discussion, and microsoft, has been using "marcador" in its translations. I have this idea that Windows was made for "dummies" (this ain't true, 'I believe I can be completely mistaken'; but linux's advocates, most of them believe this), so terms like "ejecutar" and "marcador" are already being used when a specific process is made to differentiate them from other meanings. So I leave this comment for you to decide, I really don't want to be a judge or a controller in what terms are going to be left for some meanings in Monero, but I really believe that this must be done in the most "professional" way, at least using our capacities, so when people read about Monero, they can understand the language that has been used in different OS, and feel familiar with it.

Extending the comment about the word "equipo" used for "party". While reading the text, when I get to the part in which the word is used, "...proveyendo la llave privada por transacción a un equipo, ese equipo puede saber si esa...", it reads as if we were talking about a "cpu" - "un equipo". I believe the word "party" refers to "partes" involved in the transaction. I suggest to change the word, this could mislead the meaning of the text in some specific regions.

What do you mean by "minado en individual"? Both solo mining and pool mining software is run in individual processes, on individual computers etc so I don't think the word "individual" means anything here.

The GUI uses "Minado en solitario" which is descriptive and also makes it clearer that it's English counterpart is "solo mining".

  • Cantidad de subprocesos 4 (Un hilo, o hilo de ejecución, es un término de software para la secuencia de instrucciones de orden básico que puede pasar por o procesarse en un núcleo de CPU individual.)

@BlackLotus64 I have an idea. What do you think once we finish the review, we work the comments together and then update the files. I fork your repo and from there we can work out the files. Not sure if you would like to do it that way, but is just a suggestions. :)
Good day, great work.

I believe the term "party" that actually refers to a "second" user when translated to the word "segundo" as "second" sounds a bit wierd, to me. I suggest to find a better word to translate the word "party". I know it refers to "las partes" = "the parties"; "la parte" = "a party". Maybe use a different word, instead of "parte".

e.g.
"Cuando envías dinero a alguien/ a otra persona/ a un sujeto/ a un individuo..."

I could just use una parte as you stated in other files. The problem is that party can be used as team too when you're talking about a group of people.

With Bitcoin, this is typically done by looking up the transaction ID, where the origin and destination addresses are
shown, along with the amount transacted.

Maybe for the words "looking up" the word "buscando" as in "making a search" will work better, and eliminating so many words ending in "-mente". This overloads words ending with "-mente" in the sentences. Not sure, just a suggestion.

Maybe re-organizing the text and giving the same meaning will work.

e.g.

  • "Con Bitcoin, esto se hace de manera normal buscando el ID de la transacción, donde se muestra las direcciones de origen y destino, junto con la cantidad tramitada."
  • "Con Bitcoin, esto se hace de manera tipica buscando el ID de la transacción, donde se muestra las direcciones de origen y destino, junto con la cantidad tramitada."

[* When I use the word "manera" is used as in "way" another word for "done", "modo". We can simplify the ending words in "-mente" using this grammatical change.
e.g.
"rápidamente" - "de modo rápido" - "de manera rápida"
*This is not always used.]

I have noticed that some of the translations sound a bit robotic, like if we just translate the text instead of trying to give a meaning. Just to point out what I'm referring to, let me just point it out in this sentence.

"With Bitcoin, this is typically done by looking up the transaction ID..."

"Con Bitcoin, esto es típicamente hecho observando el ID de transacción..."

The construction of the sentence is exactly the same as the text in English. Not sure about how in some regions the Spanish construction might be used in the language but some words aren't used the same as when we read them or used them in the grammatical writing structure. The word "observando" means "observing" and what I mean, the thoughts that come around my mind are, "what do you mean by observing?". If we go to crypto_land(specially bitcoin), we "look up" the ID's to search a transaction, and in Spanish look up, refers to search, "buscar", "verificar", "consultar".

We can change words that end with -y (-mente in Spanish) when there are too many in a single paragraph, but in this case is only one, so I think it should be OK.

While reading the guides, they are actually different files, but the review is being done without stopping, maybe I get the impression of the overload words ending with -y(-mente), that's why I stopped and made this huge comment. I know I have already mentioned it below in different comments. If you feel it's ok, just leave it as you think, if then we have more comments about the translation, we can work it out. :)

The information supplied by Alice plugs neatly instead of the placeholders. monero-wallet-cli will use the transaction
key to decode the transaction, and display how much this particular transaction sent to this address. Obviously,
Charlie will want to double check with Bob the address is really his - same as with Bitcoin.
La información provista por Alicia se coloca pulcramente en lugar de los marcadores. monero-wallet-cli usará la llave de transacción para decodificar la transacción, y mostrar cuánto envió en particular la transacción a la dirección. Yes, it says that when "you replace" the information it will "plug neatly". We could work out which terms to use, imo, the word "pulcramente" is not used very commonly and is a really formal word, in the Spanish dictionary (where I live is not really common, not sure about other regions; but those are my thoughts).

For the Advanced > Prove/Check and Check. Inside the monero-wallet-gui those words are already translated, so the guides can have those commands updated in the monero-wallet-gui repository. @BlackLotus64 and @ordtrogen, I worked the latest update in the monero-gui translation and I added for "Use Custom Settings, "Usar opciones personalizadas". What do you guys suggest? Keep it as "Usar opciones personalizadas", change it to "Usar ajustes personalizados", or any other suggestion?
I like the way how @BlackLotus64 managed this translation.

Microsoft uses "configuración" for "settings".

"Usar ajustes de configuración"? (this is just to share what I found) For both words, "custom settings", microsoft uses "Congifuración personalizada".

"Helado de fresa". That doesn't mean it doesn't have gender. I remember I erased a past comment, maybe I shouldn't have, but it's ok. The comment was a suggestion changing the organization of the words. It was this:

"Cuenta del software".

Then I had a conflict with the suggestion I made and did some investigations. Got to "Software de la cuenta" because like I stated, it describes the Software for the account, it's making a description of the software, to finally say: monero-wallet-cli.

But is just a comment. I like to share what goes inside my head while I put on words in a comment.

No, not yet. The CLI hasn't been a priority, for now. But if you check the text out, you were missing the "()" for "optional, default:0", so the meaning of the text changed roughly, even the instruction in the CLI, so that is why I suggest keeping the English text, and with a comma, mark what it means.

I just did it because I was not sure about how to translate that option, because it is something of monero-wallet-cli. Maybe we can translate it now, or like with the moneropedia, we just left it that way for now and change it later when there's an official translation of the CLI.

I will also be updating the word mnemónica, it has Semilla mnemotécnica

But for the translation made for Restore height (optional) to Altura de restaurado (opcional), the monero-wallet-gui has Restaurar altura (opcional). This one sounds more precise. I will suggest to change it in this translation.

Ok guys about his comment. I think I missed several things I had already encountered in the past with some of these words and by mistake forgot to address them here.

"Semilla mnemónica" is a slang. The word mnemotécnica (mnemonic) comes from Regla Mnemotécnica; Mnemotecnia, so I suggest we shouldn't change it. I remember that I had "semilla mnemotécnica" in the terminology and now that I take a look it has been changed so I will add a comment about it.

I will be putting a strikethrough in some parts of the sentences but not deleting what I wrote, so we can keep up the history.

I suggest that you don't use too much Wikipedia. About mnemonic, I've found two definitions in the RAE dictionary. One is about:

mnemotecnia
Del gr. μνήμη mnḗmē 'memoria' y -tecnia.

  1. f. Procedimiento de asociación mental para facilitar el recuerdo de algo.

mnemónico, ca

  1. adj. Perteneciente o relativo a la memoria.
  2. f. mnemotecnia.

So it's the same, like a conjugation of the same word, so we can use semilla mnemónica. Yes, "mnemotecnia" is the art and the main word, but mnemónico is also a related-word for that.

We can make a decision and then change of left the word that way. You can also search for the definitions in Google.

There's some people and pages who uses "semilla mnemotécnica", but using some logic, it's just more OK to me to use "mnemónica" since you don't use, in example, something similar, I don't have something in mind but some techniques have another conjugation when you talk about a particular aspect of it, not sure if you follow :)

Yes is ok, I really didn't know that "mnemónica" existed as a word. It really follows what you are pointing out in your last comment. I would keep "mnemónica" because it exists as a word, and it really makes sense. It even makes it shorter, and better understandable with the own English word "mnemonic". I think these discussions are good and productive, maybe they are a little overwhelming, but the discussions will help other contributors when they get around. These investigations give grammatical structure to the crypto-space where there isn't any type of grammatical investigation yet. I'm really thankful for your patience and keeping the hard work. :)

Sorry guys I've been very busy with some personal stuff but I'm almost free. I pushed some changes but I'm having some problems again with git, I'm pretty sure I rebased this but the conflicts still appear, I may need some valuable help again @erciccione.

There are some comments that have not been yet checked and there are some final "requested changes" that have not been added (e.g. line 183 - verification-allos-advanced.md) This will be all to approve by my side :). @BlackLotus64
