and print npm config + version before running install

So we can get status notifications on pull requests (for now just
npm run checkresults will be super helpful). Also long overdue update to pre-commit so we don't runnpm teston pre-commit (travis & evergreen will handle these in the future).This will also post notifications for build status to the Integrations Flowdock http://blog.travis-ci.com/2012-10-04-flowdock-notifications/
