No Linux static server build?

Hey I just saw there is no Linux Server Static Build anymore? What's up?

We are currently unable to build a static server as the vcpkg environment that we can use turned out to not be so static after all

Does that mean there won't be any static Linux server builds in the future? It's nice to be able to use https://linuxgsm.com/servers/mumbleserver/ to manage my servers more easily. TIA!

If someone fixes the build system such that it is able to produce static binaries, we might still release them. However, this currently doesn't have a high priority for us.
As an alternative to the static server, we now tend to refer to our official Docker image: https://github.com/mumble-voip/mumble-docker

Curious, when you say fix the build system (b/c I don't know), what does that mean? A server that compiles the code and spits out the binary is broken, hardware or software wise?

See #5453 - in short the problem is that we require a fully statically linked server, but at the moment the buildsystem produces a partially dynamically linked one.
