v0.2.1 — Wired runtime loop
🚀 Zeta Tokio v0.2.1 — Wired Runtime Loop
Everything wired into a working event loop:
Core Runtime
Runtime::new()— creates epoll reactor + waker pipe + registers waker with reactorRuntime::block_on(task)— runs task, drains reactor eventsRuntime::wait_for_io(timeout_ms)— epoll_wait wrapper with timerfd precisionRuntime::shutdown()— clean up waker + reactor fds
Verified Through JIT
| Test | Input | Output | Precision |
|---|---|---|---|
| reactor poll | 50ms | ~50,067µs | ±0.1% |
| block_on | returns 42 | 42 | exact |
| timer poll | 50+30+20ms | ~100,234µs | ±0.2% |
| waker lifecycle | create→register→consume→destroy | 0 (success) | exact |
Platform
- Requires Zeta compiler v0.11.2+ (JIT mode)
- All primitives call Linux syscalls (epoll, pipe2, timerfd, fcntl, clock_gettime)
- Blocking thread pool via std::thread::spawn
