MX Stage is a local-only AI workbench for correcting IBM Maximo data with your own AI assistant (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Antigravity, IBM Bob): every change is staged, diffed and approved by a human before it is written to Maximo.

Install

  • Claude Desktop: download mxstage-0.2.9.mcpb below, then in Claude Desktop open Settings → Extensions → Advanced settings → Install Extension… and choose the file. Open http://127.0.0.1:8788/app and enter your Maximo URL and API key in Settings. To update, install the new file the same way (or use Settings → Updates in the work screen).
  • npm: npx -y @mxstage/mxstage@0.2.9 (Node.js 20 or later).
  • Other assistants (ChatGPT desktop in Codex or Work mode, Antigravity, IBM Bob, Claude Code): see Install.

Free for test environments and for loading, analysing and editing production data. Committing to a production Maximo needs a license: pricing.

What's new

  • Settings → Skills & dictionaries. One place for each customer's procedures (Skills) and ways of writing (dictionaries). For every connection it shows where they are kept, with Open and Change; then the dictionaries and Skills of the connected customer, drafts made by the AI, the Skills of this PC and the built-in Skills. A Skill opens on its own page with its text, history (restore any version), Edit and Delete.
  • Skills per customer, shared with the members. A customer's Skills are kept with its dictionaries in the connection's folder, and the AI gets only the Skills of the customer the work screen is connected to, also when you switch connections in the middle of a conversation. Without a shared folder, a connection's dictionaries and Skills are kept in Documents\MX Stage<connection name>; Change moves them to a shared folder (OneDrive, SharePoint, a network folder…).
  • The AI's Skills are drafts you save. When you ask the AI to keep a procedure, it makes a draft and the work screen tells you; nothing is used until you check it and press Save. Text that looks like an API key or a password is refused.
  • One customer's dictionary is never applied to another customer's data. After switching connections, the previous connection's dictionaries close (or stay unused if they have unsaved changes).
  • Place side by side with the AI assistant (Windows): a button in the top bar puts your AI assistant on the left of the screen and the work screen on the right.
  • Fixed: choosing a shared folder whose path has Japanese or full-width characters could stop the bridge.
