Quicker reactions to music, fewer graphics stalls, and a full settings reset.
Audio response
- Sharp audio onsets reach the waveform and motion envelope on their first analyzed frame, even with a slow rise setting or before the beat detector has warmed up.
- The halo reacts quickly to rising sound levels and keeps a smooth decay.
- Swell rise controls gradual changes. Holding Space still applies deliberately heavier waveform smoothing.
Rendering
- Native builds rotate geometry upload buffers to reduce waits when the GPU is still using a buffer.
- Waveform and spectrum colors are computed once per frame instead of repeatedly for each sample.
- A local 1024 × 768 benchmark with the Shape panel open measured average frame time falling from 3.29–3.32 ms with a single upload buffer to 1.76–1.77 ms with the new native configuration. This measures rendering, not end-to-end audio/display synchronization.
Reset
Reset all settings is at the top of Settings / 6. It restores the original visual, audio, window, and layout defaults, unloads the active Lua scene, resets the camera, and clears solo mode and edit history. Native builds save the reset immediately. Presets, swatches, and the current audio source are retained.
Validated with 116 passing local tests, native and Windows release builds, and a web build. Source builds require Zig 0.16.0.
