flex-sim v0.1.0 (beta) — a synthetic FlexRadio-6000 emulator / hardware-free test bench for AetherSDR. No radio required.

Download & run

Grab the binary for your OS below, run it on a computer on your network (ideally not the same one as AetherSDR — see the README's one networking rule), and AetherSDR will discover it as a FLEX-6600. Then open the control panel at http://<that-ip>:8731/.

  • Windows: flex-sim-windows-x64.exe
  • Linux: flex-sim-linux-x64
  • macOS (Apple Silicon): flex-sim-macos-arm64

⚠️ Antivirus may flag the .exe

It's unsigned, so SmartScreen / Norton / Defender may warn or quarantine it. This is a false positive — PyInstaller bundles Python into one .exe and that trips AV heuristics. The full source is in this repo (pure-stdlib Python, zero deps); allow the file, or run from Python to skip the binary entirely.

See the README for full setup.
