Faster Dictate on iVibe Cloud. Live captions no longer wait on each other for billing, so your text pastes about two seconds after you let go, even on long dictations.

  • Each recording reserves its credits once and every caption draws from that reservation, instead of each caption reserving and settling on its own.
  • A caption that takes too long is sent again automatically.
  • The app checks your backup status only when you sign in, sign out or change plan, not after every recording.

You're charged exactly for what each recording used, as before. iVibe updates itself on Windows and Linux; on macOS, download the new version below.

iVibe 0.1.1

Fixes

  • No more recording into nothing. If you're not signed in to iVibe Cloud and haven't added a Meta API key, iVibe no longer starts listening and fails at the end. It tells you to sign in or add a key first.
  • Clearer errors from iVibe Cloud. When Meta refuses a Cloud request, iVibe now says what happened instead of always blaming Meta's API. If you've set your own Meta key as a fallback, iVibe switches to it automatically.
  • The taskbar shows the iVibe icon when running from source.

Windows and Linux update automatically; on macOS, download the new version below. First time installing? See the download steps.

iVibe 0.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 06:35

The first release of iVibe. Show the bug, and iVibe writes the prompt: record your screen and voice, and it finds the root cause, proves it with frames and writes the fix prompt. It also turns your voice into clean prompts and dictation, pasted where you're typing.

Download

Your computer File
Windows 10 or 11 iVibe-Setup-0.1.0.exe
Mac with Apple silicon (M1 and later) iVibe-0.1.0-mac-arm64.dmg
Mac with Intel iVibe-0.1.0-mac-x64.dmg
Linux (Ubuntu, Debian) iVibe-0.1.0-linux-amd64.deb
Linux (any) iVibe-0.1.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage

Opening it the first time

iVibe isn't code-signed yet, so your computer asks once before opening it.

  • Windows: if SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
  • macOS: open the DMG and drag iVibe to Applications. If macOS says it can't verify iVibe, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
  • Linux: install the deb with sudo apt install ./iVibe-0.1.0-linux-amd64.deb, or make the AppImage executable (chmod +x iVibe-0.1.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage) and run it.

Updates

iVibe checks for updates when it opens and every few hours. On Windows and Linux it downloads them and installs them when you restart. On macOS it tells you when a new version is out, with a link to download it.

Plans

Sign in with GitHub for free credits to try iVibe Cloud, or use your own Meta API key. iVibe Pro is $8/month for 400 credits a month.

iVibe is open source under AGPL-3.0.
