  • Release workflow with release.json for OmaForge; TOC X-Website (#2)
    • Release workflow: package with the BigWigs packager and attach release.json
      On a v* tag the packager builds the zip (same name pattern as before) and a
      release.json that marks it as the mainline flavor, so addon managers such as
      OmaForge install the right StoryTracker/ build for each client.
    • TOC: add X-Website so installed copies link back to this repo; bump version to 1.1.3

v1.1.2 — /storytracker about

Choose a tag to compare

@ninepointlabs ninepointlabs released this 18 Oct 00:53

Adds /storytracker about.

What's new

  • /storytracker about prints the following to chat:
    • the version, Made by Nine Point Labs, the created date and the MIT license (the full text is in the addon folder's LICENSE);
    • the support address, help@ninepointlabs.com, with a one-line version string to paste into your email;
    • the WoW client build;
    • a privacy summary.
  • Privacy, in short: StoryTracker has no network access.
    • It records your own character's adventures to WTF/Account/<account>/SavedVariables/StoryTracker.lua.
    • Other players' names are saved only from your group, party level-ups, duels, honorable kills and who killed you.
    • No player chat is read or saved.
    • The file stays on your computer unless you run the companion tool or share it.
  • /storytracker on its own now also lists the commands.
  • The copyright holder and addon author are now Nine Point Labs.

Not yet seen in game: the about output was tested with a stubbed WoW API, not in the client.

Install: extract StoryTracker-Retail-v1.1.2.zip into World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/ (it contains a StoryTracker folder).
