Cento v0.1.0 (beta)

Cento writes new chorales in the style of J. S. Bach, by recombining beats
from Bach's own, in Max or in Ableton Live. (An independent project, inspired by but not
affiliated with David Cope.)

Download one:

• Cento-for-Live: for Ableton Live 12 Suite (or Standard + Max for Live), 12.2.1 or later.
• Cento-for-Max: a patch for Max 9 (a free download; no license needed).
  Then follow "Read me first" in the zip.

In this first release:

• New chorales from 131 of Bach's (the Bach Chorales Figured Bass dataset,
  CC BY 4.0), each in the form of a real chorale, with Bach's cadence
  formulas kept whole.
• Magdalena learns your taste from like and dislike, keeps the music you
  like in her notebook, and composes toward what you liked.
• Streams: music composed a phrase at a time while it plays.
• In Live: a demo set ready to play, and the piece written as clips.

Known issues:

• Tested on macOS only.
• Cento for Max needs Max 9; Cento for Live needs Live 12.2.1 or later.
