v1.2.0
1.2.0 — 2026-10-09
Behavior-question retrieval ranking, honest quiet indexing, and evaluation-corpus integrity.
- Behavior questions now rank callable declarations first. A query like "how does authentication work" previously let result types, constants and prose sharing the same vocabulary displace the implementing function; behavior-oriented queries now prioritize located
()declarations, and a trailing "work"/"works" is treated as question phrasing rather than a symbol hint. Explicit identifier lookups, documentation intent, and docs-majority corpora keep their existing ranking. On the self-corpus quality gate (budget 4000): file recall@5 64.3% → 74.3%, declaration recall@5 0% → 66.7%, gate passing with 0 failed queries and 0 budget violations. astria runandastria updateno longer run or print the token-size benchmark. The synthetic corpus-vs-query ratio moves to the explicit retrieval-quality workflow (scripts/bench/quality/run-quality.mjs); indexing output stays limited to pipeline facts. The e2e suite now asserts the quiet behavior.- Generated evaluation prompts and benchmark output can no longer leak into the self corpus.
scripts/bench/quality/promptfoo/tests.generated.yamlandscripts/bench/quality/out/are excluded from the corpus graph, so golden questions repeated in generated eval files cannot become retrieval candidates. - Linux native artifacts need a GCC-13-era libstdc++ (GLIBCXX_3.4.32, e.g. Ubuntu 24.04+). The ONNX Runtime prebuilt static C++ references
_M_replace_cold, so thelinux-x64-gnubinary fails todlopenon 22.04-class systems. This is unchanged from the already-published 1.1.1 binaries — the new packed-install verification surfaced it, and now verifies against the artifact's real baseline while a static-libstdc++ fix is pursued. Thelinux-x64-muslartifact remains unloadable on Alpine due to the rustc ≥ 1.99 cdylib regression tracked bymusl-probe.yml; its packed-install check verifies packaging and the JS entry until the toolchain bug is fixed. - Docs no longer reference the removed
astria migratecommand. It was removed in 1.0.12 when the compatibility paths were retired, but the npm README and the directory-layout reference kept telling Graphify users to run it — which failed withunknown command. Both now state the supported path: there is no migration; delete the old.graphify/directory and runastria run .for a fresh.astria/.
