✨ New Features

Cookie-Based Session Authentication

  • Browser extension now automatically reads session cookies for download URLs
  • Enables authenticated downloads from sites that use cookie-based sessions (e.g. Rapidgator, file hosting services)
  • Cookies are transparently passed from the browser to the download engine — no user interaction needed
  • Works alongside existing HTTP Basic Auth credentials — both can be used simultaneously
  • Cookies are persisted in the database and survive app restarts, pause/resume, and crash recovery
  • Applied on all HTTP requests: URL probing (HEAD/GET), and every download segment

 Bug Fixes

Download Info Immediately Visible

  • "Download Later" now correctly shows the probed filename and file size in the download list
  • Previously, downloads showed a URL-extracted name (or UUID-like string) until actually started
  • Fixed by emitting DownloadUpdated event after applying probed metadata (filename, size, final URL)
  • Applies to both single downloads and batch imports

Firefox Addon Validation

  • Replaced innerHTML with safe DOM APIs in toast notification
  • Eliminates "Unsafe assignment to innerHTML" validation warning

🔧 Internal

  • Added cookies permission and <all_urls> host permission to browser extension manifest
  • Extension reads cookies via browser.cookies.getAll() and formats as standard Cookie header
  • Full pipeline: Extension → HTTP server → Tauri event → Frontend → Tauri command → Core → Database → Engine → HTTP request
  • Added cookies: Option<String> field to Download struct with database migration
  • SegmentWorker and DownloadTask inject Cookie: header on all outgoing requests
  • Frontend events.ts parses structured event payloads (url, referrer, filename, cookies)
  • NewDownloadDialog reads and forwards pending cookies to add_download command
