v2.15.4

Changelog

Bootstrap theme, form rows, file inputs, light-only palette tokens and back link fixes

Fixed

  • back_link: with icon_set: none the label is printed once. That set renders an icon as its label text, so the
partial printed "Dashboard Dashboard"; it now prints no icon span at all.
  • Bootstrap form rows: the form_row and form_row_check slots default to mb-3 on Bootstrap (bootstrap,
bootstrap5, bootstrap4, tabler), so text rows of the UiKit form theme are spaced like checkbox rows and like
bootstrap_5_layout. A class the row already has (row_attr, FormKit's mb-3 fallback) is not added twice, the
form flex gap of nowo-ui.css already gives that rem back, and list filter grid fields drop the margin (the grid gap
spaces them). Tailwind / Foundation / none keep no row class (the form flex gap spaces rows there).
  • File inputs: the UiKit form theme gives <input type="file"> the input slot (Bootstrap form-control, plus
input_invalid on errors); it was skipped.
  • Bootstrap dark mode: the theme boot, the theme toggle and OS colour-scheme changes set data-bs-theme together
with data-theme, so Bootstrap 5.3 components follow the kit theme. It is set on every stack (no other stack reads
it); <html data-nowo-ui-bs-theme="off"> leaves it to the host. The toggle peer now also follows OS
prefers-color-scheme changes live while no theme is stored or server-preferred.
  • theme.tokens without tokens_dark: host / bundle tokens for a palette token that has a UiKit dark default
(text, surface, border, primary, muted, the status colours, …: Theme::LIGHT_ONLY_TOKENS) are emitted
for light mode only (:root:where(:not([data-theme=dark])), same specificity as :root). Under
data-nowo-ui-host-tokens the UiKit dark defaults have zero specificity, so a plain :root value also won in dark
    mode (dark text on a white surface). Dark mode now keeps the UiKit dark defaults unless tokens_dark sets the token;
other tokens (radii, fonts, metrics, component tokens) still apply in both modes. See
    UPGRADING.
