System

  • OBS Studio Version 29.0.2
  • Creative Live! Cam Sync 1080p
  • KDE Plasma 5.27.4
  • Linux Zen 6.3.5 Arch Linux
  • Manjaro Stable Branch

Steps to Reproduce

  • Just keep the webcam on in OBS.

Result

  • After a while the webcam LED powers off, and the image freezes.
  • The rest of OBS continues working.
  • It didn't happen on guvcview after many hours powered on, with the same cam settings.
  • It happened in a different laptop with the same operating system.
  • Changing USB port to an exclusive one, or changing webcam settings, doesn't fix the issue.

Maybe OBS treats that error as exceptional when it isn't.

@kkartaltepe This only happens on OBS by the way.
