OctoPack Lantern 1.2.3

Lantern 1.2.3 matches the current Thunderstore, Hexium, and Nexus releases. It retains the 1.2.2 gameplay, lantern models, sounds, recipes, and configuration defaults, and adds the release metadata and AI assistance disclosure used on those sites.

Installation

Install OctoPack 1.7.4 or newer first. Close Valheim, then extract the ZIP’s plugins folder into BepInEx, replacing only OctoPack_addon_Lantern.dll. Keep your existing configuration. The separate Lantern Arm DLL is obsolete; the arm is included in Lantern.

The ZIP contains a Lantern DLL whose assembly and BepInEx plugin versions are both 1.2.3. It is the same build already published on Thunderstore. SHA256SUMS.txt records the ZIP checksum.

OctoPack Lantern 1.2.2

Seven craftable lanterns, an integrated lantern arm, hand carrying, a mist-clearing Wisp Lantern, and five aura abilities for OctoPack.

• Requires OctoPack 1.7.2 or newer.
• Added measured arm and lantern contacts for portable backpacks.
• Matched dropped visuals to the saved collision pose.
• Kept light, wisp, and shadow height aligned with saved geometry.
• Added bounded contact metadata repair for older dropped packs.

Installation

Download Bascinet-OctoPack_addon_Lantern-1.2.2.zip, install OctoPack 1.7.2 or newer, then copy the ZIP's plugins folder into BepInEx. Keep your configuration.

Remove the old separate OctoPack_addon_LanternArm.dll when upgrading; the arm is included in Lantern.

Lantern is a client add-on. Dedicated servers require OctoPack core, but do not require the Lantern DLL. Dropped-pack lights and fuel are maintained by an owning, loaded Lantern client.

The ZIP is Thunderstore-compatible and includes BepInEx and OctoPack dependency declarations. SHA256SUMS.txt provides the archive integrity hash. This publication retains the existing 1.2.2 DLL, artwork, sounds, recipes, and configuration defaults.
