Inventory performance

OctoPack 1.7.5 reduces the FPS drop while the inventory is open. It avoids repeating backpack slot, panel, tooltip, and crafting search visual updates when their values have not changed. Equipment and Quick Slots rows are resized only when the requested inventory height changes.

The 1.7.4 Deeper Pockets background fix remains included. Backpack storage, item positions, inventory following, Alt-drag positioning, and existing configuration behavior are unchanged.

Installation

Download Bascinet-OctoPack-1.7.5.zip from this release. Close Valheim, then copy its plugins folder into your existing BepInEx folder and replace the OctoPack DLL. Keep your configuration. Use the same OctoPack core DLL on participating clients and dedicated servers. Lantern and Camping are separate add-ons and are not included.

Validation

The build passed, along with 1,784 inventory/provider checks and 25 panel-drag checks. In-game testing confirmed that opening the inventory now causes only a slight FPS drop. The exact FPS difference will depend on the player's mod setup and hardware.

The ZIP's SHA-256 checksum is in SHA256SUMS.txt.

Inventory background fix

Haldor's Deeper Pockets upgrades now grow the player inventory background when Equipment and Quick Slots is installed. Previously, the new fifth and sixth rows could extend below the board.

• Sizes the board to ordinary player rows, excluding backpack and hidden equipment rows.
• Prevents duplicate EQS extra-row extension of the board, shadow, and gamepad selection frame.
• Preserves item positions, backpack following, and Alt-drag behavior.

Installation

Download Bascinet-OctoPack-1.7.4.zip from Assets below. Close Valheim and copy its plugins folder into your existing BepInEx folder, replacing the OctoPack DLL. Keep your configuration. Requires BepInEx for Valheim; use the same OctoPack core on participating clients and dedicated servers.

Lantern and Camping remain separate optional add-ons. This archive contains OctoPack core only. SHA256SUMS.txt contains the ZIP checksum.

Validation

Build and compiled-package checks passed, along with 1,784 inventory/provider checks, 12 background-layout checks, and 25 panel-drag checks. The reported Deeper Pockets background issue was confirmed fixed in-game.

This release also includes the packaging and OpenAI Codex assistance disclosures introduced in 1.7.3.
