Tinta v2.4.0

Tinta v2.4.0

Markdown, distilled. A fast, lightweight Markdown and Mermaid viewer for Windows — now also on the Microsoft Store.

New

• GitHub alerts: > [!NOTE], [!TIP], [!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING], and [!CAUTION] blockquotes render as styled callouts with GitHub's alert colors, adapted to all 10 light and dark themes. Thanks @ganghu9 for the report (#41)
• Microsoft Store: install as Tinta Markdown Viewer and get automatic updates

Fixed

• Folder browser: long file and folder names no longer wrap over the entries below — they trim with an ellipsis, and the path header keeps the end of the path visible, measured correctly for CJK names. Thanks @BreezeYao for the report (#39)

Changed

• Fully self-contained binary: the C runtime is statically linked, so the exe runs on clean Windows installs with no VC++ Redistributable needed — a single dependency-free file, still under 1 MB

Installation

1. Download tinta.exe below and run it — no installation required (you may need to click "More info" → "Run anyway" on SmartScreen)
2. Or: Microsoft Store · scoop install tinta (bucket)
3. Optionally run tinta.exe /register to register Markdown and Mermaid files
