Tinta v3.7.1
Tinta v3.7.1
Markdown, distilled. Safer large-image loading and a compiler cleanup.
Installation
- Easiest:
winget install "Tinta Markdown Viewer" -s msstore(Store-signed, no security prompts, auto-updates), or the Microsoft Store page - Portable: download
tinta.exebelow and run it (SmartScreen may ask: "More info", then "Run anyway") - Optionally run
tinta.exe /registerto register Markdown and Mermaid files
Large-image loading (#220)
- Fix a crash when large images appear alongside other images, including images in tables and quotes (#221)
- Large local and downloaded raster images use bounded decoding while retaining their displayed size and aspect ratio
- Invalid or excessive images fall back to alt-text placeholders; HTML and DOCX exports preserve the original image files
- Reported by @glance02
Fixed
- Cached images remain valid while the document or lightbox still needs them (#220, #221)
- Image memory accounting uses allocated pixels instead of DPI-adjusted display dimensions (#220, #221)
- Remove unused variables, shadowed names and implicit narrowing conversions without disabling compiler warnings (#221)
Changed
- Refresh the documented portable executable size to about 2.4 MB (#219)
What's included
- Export as HTML, DOCX, or PDF, plus optional Pandoc formats
- 22 natively rendered Mermaid diagram families
- Tabbed interface with drag, session restore, and a tab context menu
- 10 tuned themes (5 light, 5 dark) plus custom themes
- Hardware-accelerated rendering via Direct2D
- Single portable executable about 2.4 MB, no dependencies
