What's New

  • Frontier system prompt variant: opt-in promptVariant: "frontier" option for GPT and Anthropic models. Adapts Codex "persist end-to-end" discipline while keeping OpenCode's CLI UX. Enable per-model or per-provider via opencode.json. Validated with planetiler code-review benchmarks (LongMerger recall 75→83%, water_storage 75→100%, SortableFeature +58pp, false positive 0).
  • Raw-compiler guardrail: frontier variant forbids javac / bare python -c fallbacks when the configured build tool (mvn / cargo / bun / npm / go) fails — prevents wasted turns on classpath-induced failures.
  • Citation requirement for session-end summaries: frontier variants now require narrative end-of-turn summaries to only describe events citable from the agent's own tool-call history, reducing confabulation about nonexistent harness mechanisms.

Fixes

  • Bash / Glob actionable errors: missing workdir / path now surfaces a concrete mkdir -p suggestion instead of opaque NotFound: FileSystem.access (previously agents pivoted to Write auto-create rather than fixing the root cause).
  • Upstream rebase to v1.14.18: includes native rg backend restoration (#22773), TUI theme persistence + KV write stabilization, terminal font settings + built-in Nerd Font, desktop Electron JSON migration fix.
