This is the first PyPI release of the v0.9 listing cache. v0.9.0 never reached PyPI: a Windows-only test failure stopped its publish job. See the v0.9.0 notes for the cache itself. In short, find/audit/create's dedup keep a local copy of the library and check it against the server's version map on every call. Repeat calls drop from 10–20 s to a couple of seconds on a few-hundred-item library, and the answers stay just as complete. The cache lives in ~/.cache/zotkit (%LOCALAPPDATA%\zotkit on Windows); ZOTKIT_CACHE=0 disables it.

Changes since v0.9.0:

  • Test fix: the cache-directory test no longer fakes os.name, which made pathlib refuse to build paths on Windows. No library code changed.
  • Existence-check recipe (README, AGENTS.md, SKILL.md): with arXiv ids or DOIs in hand, the existence check is the create --arxiv/--doi dry run. It checks the whole batch in one call (exact DOI, then normalized title) and prints !! already in library as <KEY> for each item already there. find --any <first-author-lastname> stays the check when there's no identifier (a local PDF, hand-built JSON) or for "anything by X?". Running one find per candidate before create repeats the dry run's work, and it was what made agent runs time out.

165 offline tests; CI (ubuntu + windows × 3.11/3.13) gates the publish.
