v1.2.3

Initial public release.

Codeally Media Sanitizer complements WordPress's Modern Image Formats plugin for WebP uploads.

  • Sets WordPress's WebP image-editor quality value to 70.
  • Cleans uploaded filenames, including transliteration of Danish and other characters, while preserving the original filename as the Media Library title.
  • Deletes the unscaled original when WordPress generates a scaled image and records the original in attachment metadata.
  • Updates the attachment MIME type when its attached file is WebP.

Requires Modern Image Formats, configured to use WebP. This plugin does not convert or compress images by itself or process existing media.
