Disable the open chat buffer being pinned to the current tab

Is there a way to accomplish my question in the title? I have a chat buffer open and when I switch tabs to gt, it looks like CodeCompanion attempts to move the chat buffer to the new tab I'm moving to. It causes a multi-second delay on my gt command which is no bueno.
