I experience the same issue on Manjaro (Arch, btw), so I'll add my own report as an additional datapoint. Commit Hash Platform Summary Steps to Reproduce

Exact same reproducible crash to desktop for me - I'm using: Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon If it's any use, the bt output was as follows: (gdb) bt A short video: |
Can you test this with a new project file on the latest commit? |
Well, I've tried it with the latest nightly build (5b04d84) and OVE project files seems to work fine. (Though older projects are somewhat incompatible as expected). When saved as a .OTIO the project fails to load (although when trying to save it, Olive crashes to desktop so it may not be saving it properly anyway.) I see you also fixed the CTD bug if you grab the sequence viewer window when something was on the timeline - awesome! Many thanks for all your hard work! Dave. |
Appears to work as expected in the 7e00ffa AppImage. |
I will close this for now. Anyone affected by this can feel free to reply back if this issue resurfaces. |

Summary
When I tried to open a project which had a video, the app crashes. I tried saving a file with a solid color and reopened it successfully, but I couldn't do the same with a newly created project with a video in it and neither can open the previous projects with a video in it.
