Works for me. Is this meant to be at the repo level only or included in the Pypi distribution? |
Happy with either. For the latter, the breaking changes should be clearer. |

Installation of 5.0 still works, it's just that some options like prefixing ports isn't possible anymore.

(Though no objection to saying we will be dropping support for installing pre-5.2, but upgrading from older versions will still be possible for now)

I'd go for "...earlier, although…" here but other than that, it all reads fine now and conforms to style guidance 👍
As an initial version of the changelog, this gives a pretty good summary of the major changes bourhgt in each version of the library. Barring any veto, I propose to get this PR in and move forward with the release and carry on improvements as follow-up PRs. |
