Fixes

  • Server-side rendering no longer crashes (window is not accessed on the server).
  • Events inside a shadow root are now correctly treated as inside the element.

Improvements

  • The handler now receives the DOM event. Existing zero-argument handlers keep working.
  • Known event names ('mousedown', 'keydown', ...) give a typed event in TypeScript.

Tooling

  • Test suite (Vitest + Testing Library) and CI on push/PR for Node 22 and 24.
  • Release workflow can also publish to npmjs.org when the NPM_TOKEN secret is set.
