Welcome to Project Week!

All of us started on our final websites today, typing out whatever lines of code we could to get the ball rolling. Getting started is the hardest part, even for me. Once you have code that gets things started, it's so much easier.

What did you work on today?

Dev Mode – Enabled 👨🏻‍💻 | HTML – CSS – Debug - Repeat

• Loading screen with a specific duration (1.5 sec)
• Home page
• Header with moving text
• 3 cards with hover effect
• A side ticket with pull-out animation
• Text and image at the bottom of that ticket
• Created all .html pages and linked them to clickable elements

Challenges of the Day

• A small yellow block in the header, how to place it at the exact location
• Hide main content while the loading screen is active
• Hover effect border, has to keep transparent first.
• Placing text and arrow exactly below the ticket

Tomorrow's Goal

• Aim to work on and try to finish the dashboard.

Problems
-Somehow, my Netlify is not displaying images while my local host is, thus I have added website screenshots
-Arranging windows as per my liking of the positions on the main content page ( homepage), it felt like a lot of code

Knowing what to put on my website made me really anxious and frustrated since i would keep changing the idea i wanted to go with as well as had so many that i couldnt pick one of that would a) represent me and b) be something that will stay constantly evolving. Since i am a person who likes jumping and exploring a bunch I just.could.not.pick.one.damn.niche. And then I finally got it, i gotta zoom out. What are the general things i like and the GENERAL things that stay constant in my life - my first answer was the colour purple before i remembered that colours make me feel things pretty deeply and influence my thoughts and what if i stopped liking purple?? plus i would stay stuck choosing colours foreverrrrrrrrrrr. so back to the drawing board , how can it be made simpler- we keep it black and white for now and have three lists for my website-

1. Gratitude list- whre i write something i am thankful for every day
2. learnings- i am a person that has many many AHA moments, but i often forget them lol so here's where i note those down. A TIL list plus old learnings as i remember them ig.
3. One thing i like about myself or something i did.

Working on my website making skills with w3school and looking at other people's websites plus inspecting , struggling to find nice websites that dont use javascript.

Day 11

Today's Goals:

• Understand how astro works through tutorial
• Work on High fidelity prototype
• create my website link
• code for my home page

I tried to start coding for my home page but felt like i was still unclear about several things in astro and needed a little more time with it. Not wanting to rush things or confuse myself by working on two things together i had to take one more day to experiment with astro. I feel like i will be more efficient if i start once I'm clear.

Day 11 Coding :)

**I finally started coding my personal website, and honestly, it feels both exciting and a little overwhelming. After planning and imagining it for so long, seeing it slowly come to life on the screen is such a cool feeling. I'm figuring things out as I go—experimenting with layouts, colors, fonts, and little hover effects that make it feel more me. There are definitely moments where I get stuck or frustrated, but I’m learning a lot in the process. It’s like building a digital version of myself, one line of code at a time.

Started tinkering around the various files in Astro, changing things here and there in html. Finalized a basic sitemap design.

• Start styling on Blog, Quotes and poetry pages
• Add sitemap in Astro

I'm yet to deploy the site, will do after the home page coding!

Things to keep in mind: The Learning curve is not a straight line. Try not to fly too close to the sun. Details can wait.

Day-11 The journey of making something of my own (Day 1-coding begins)

The list of tasks for me today were:

1. Looking at the color palate if what I decided was actually good. Taking others' feedback on it.
2. writing the basic content for the website that could actually get me going. I choose to do this first as one I wanted to make my basic structure with the actually information and not Lorem Ipsum, second with the actual content i will be able to set the spacing right along with other elements.
3. I am going ahead with vanilla HTML CSS as with all the learnings until now it will be easier for me to understand and navigate through the codes.
   (Day-1 went well. I was able to execute my design a bit. With time I guess I am able to understand the terminologies - Touch wood. I really hope I continue this process with equal enthusiasm.)

The list of tasks for me for day-2 are:

1. add all other elements on the homepage.
2. place and space them properly just like my design layout
3. style this page properly in way that I don't have to visit again (I will try)
