"Permission denied when accessing media devices"

I'm trying to get voice mode working in the Flatpak version of the app, and I keep getting a permission error accessing media devices. I have given Open WebUI access to "input devices", "USB devices", and even "all devices" in Flatseal, with no effect. The error seems to be coming from the Open WebUI web interface rather than the wrapper, so maybe the permission's not getting passed through? Happy to provide logs if you can tell me where to get them.

if you are using it inside an HTTP server IP instead of HTTPS, then it will never work. I tried after switching to HTTPS and it worked just fine. it's about Open Web UI itself and not the desktop

Voice mode requires HTTPS when connecting to Open WebUI on another computer. An ordinary HTTP address such as http://192.168.x.x:8080 cannot access the microphone, even when Flatseal grants device access. Use an HTTPS address with a valid certificate instead.

For Open WebUI running on the same computer, http://localhost:<port> or http://127.0.0.1:<port> supports microphone access. Current Desktop already connects to its local server through 127.0.0.1. We verified audio capture through Desktop's permission handler on that address. The released Flatpak also already includes audio access.

Moving this to Q&A for connection and microphone setup troubleshooting. This does not establish that every Flatpak microphone failure has the same cause.
