WP7 Developer Training

Organization of training session for WP7 partners who want to contribute to openETCS with software development.

Objective

The goal of these sessions to get Partners to a point where they can contribute to the openETCS code base.

Format

The session will be on-line seminar of 2 hours every two weeks. A list of topics will be maintained on this page.

To make these sessions as efficient as possible ,the session trainer should provides 2 weeks in advance a list of prerequisites such as installation requirements, document to read or tutorial to prepare... The session will be used to answer questions and solve the problems encountered.

1. Setting up the openETCS product and how to build it
2. Eclipse RCP
3. Update the documentation of the various plug-ins and features (description, license information, etc.).
4. Add feature in the build
5. Make a customization to the user interface (e.g. create a new Perspective for openETCS, hook an Action with a link to the openETCS website into the GUI, etc.)
6. Make a small modification to an EMF model, and regenerate the code (e.g. improve the label of an element of the DataDicitionary model).
7. Writing Constraints for SysML Model Checks
