Highlights: Recover macOS watchers when FSEvents streams are exhausted, improve watcher error handling, and verify published package completeness.

Fixes

  • macOS watch: fall back to guarded polling when FSEvents cannot create or start a stream during initial auto admission, including system-wide stream exhaustion. Explicit event and required-native modes still fail. Thanks @LGx0. (#1005)

  • Watch errors: consistently report path-mismatch if a Root disappears during identity revalidation, without adopting a replacement directory.

  • Windows watch: avoid spurious overflow notifications when an unrelated directory disappears during path validation, while retaining failures for persistent access errors and selected-path changes.

Packaging

  • macOS addons: ad-hoc sign both native architectures and verify their signatures before packaging, so x64 and ARM64 addons consistently pass strict code-signature checks.

  • Package completeness: verify literal relative runtime imports, module-relative worker URLs, and assets against the actual npm tarball during package checks and release collection, catching files omitted by the package allowlist. Thanks @vincentkoc. (#1008)
