Possible? User-part of the domain shared among multiple apps

Almost every app needs the concept of users and it can be made broad enough to serve variety of apps.

If you, as the authors of OpenMdx/OpenCrx were tasked to create 3 brand new apps with the OpenMdx but with the requirement that user part of the domain is modeled/generated as a single module or similar to be shared between the apps (that is, no duplication), what would describe your thoughts best:

1. absolutely crazy idea, no way to accomplish that
2. might be doable but chances are slim
3. pretty sure it's doable but complicated
4. it can be done without a doubt

Sharing a model M between apps is a standard use-case → 4. One can choose between the following deployment scenarios:

• embed M in each of the apps
• deploy M as shared (REST) service
• any combination

Just for the sake of completeness: would it also be possible to then further extend this embedded model M in one of the three apps?
