Host ORF catalogue coverage is now explicit in the shared Python/manifest API, saved native datasets, CLI summaries, and HTML/PDF/text reports. Reports distinguish included catalogues, registered catalogues that were not searched, unavailable compatible coverage, and unknown provenance. Annotated-only dog references explicitly report their missing ncORF coverage.
Optional catalogues declarations assert the exact source releases already in a supplied reference; mismatches fail before predictor acquisition. Coverage remains separate from sequence identity and is preserved during offline replay. Sequence matching and ranking are unchanged.
Reviewed and validated with 3,050 passing local tests (two optional integration skips), the Python 3.11–3.14 CI matrix, dog/mouse CLI and PDF reports, and the complete cached 63,650-protein dog inventory without data downloads.
PR: #761
Closes #625. The complete mouse CTA host reference remains tracked separately in pirl-unc/oncoref#651; the upstream metadata identity finding is openvax/orfdata#145.
