Definitely +1 on this one. Unfortunately, I do not have very high hopes of getting a response here since the last commit was a little over two years ago. Any thoughts on taking over maintainership on PyPI? |

Have you though about publishing your fork on pypi as this repo no longer appears to be maintained? I'd be happy to help with this process if you like (or even try to maintain a fork myself if you'd rather not) |

The current code checked in won't build under Python 3.6 or 3.9. This was code was regenerated with
python setup.py build_ext --forceCould a new versioned release to PyPi be made with these changes.
