Feature Request: Improved Templates, Text Controls, and Bible Scripture Formatting**
First, I would like to appreciate the developers for the excellent work on FreeShow. It is a modern, lightweight, user-friendly presentation software with great potential. I appreciate the fact that it is free and continuously evolving to meet the needs of its users.
As a church media operator, I find FreeShow very useful for managing worship lyrics, announcements, and scripture projection. However, I believe improvements to template customization and text formatting would make it even more powerful and suitable for professional church presentations.
Here are some improvements I would love to see:
1. Advanced Text Box Control
2. More Flexible Template Customization
3. Improved Bible Scripture Templates
Bible projection is an essential part of many church presentations, and scripture passages vary considerably in length. I would love to see more flexibility in customizing Bible templates.
4. Better Control of Multiple Bible Texts
It would be helpful to have greater flexibility when displaying two Bible translations or versions simultaneously. Ideally, users should be able to control the position, dimensions, fonts, colors, and spacing of each version independently, allowing both to appear clearly on the same slide.
5. Predictable Text Rendering Across Outputs
Text and templates should retain their intended formatting across different screen resolutions and output displays. Better control over wrapping, alignment, overflow, and scaling would help users achieve consistent results.
6. Improved Formatting Workflow
It would be useful to have a more intuitive editing experience where users can adjust text and template properties quickly, preview changes accurately, and reuse their preferred formatting without repeatedly making manual adjustments.
I believe these improvements would benefit churches, schools, conferences, and other organizations using FreeShow for professional presentations.
FreeShow already has a strong foundation, and its continued development is encouraging. Better text control and more flexible templates, particularly for Bible scripture projection, would give users greater creative freedom and make the software an even stronger alternative to established presentation solutions.
Thank you for your continued development and for listening to the needs of your users. I look forward to seeing FreeShow continue to grow and improve.
