Inline Mermaid diagrams aren’t rendered. Instead the Mermaid markdown is shown.

Hi! This is a known limitation of the GitHub Mobile app rather than a problem with your Markdown. Mermaid diagrams are rendered on github.com (web), but the iOS app currently shows the raw ```mermaid code block instead of the diagram. Your diagram is fine, the app just doesn't support rendering it yet.

The GitHub Mobile team has acknowledged this and it's being tracked internally (see #108622 and the related #11595), so it's already on their radar.

Workarounds for now

Option 1: Open it in the browser from the app

1. On the issue, PR, or file, tap the share button (or the "..." menu).
2. Choose Open in Browser / Open in Safari.
3. github.com in Safari renders Mermaid normally.

Option 2: Use Safari directly

1. Open the same URL in Safari.
2. If it redirects you to the app, long press the link and choose Open in Safari, or use Request Desktop Website from the "aA" menu.

Option 3: Preview the diagram quickly
Copy the Mermaid code and paste it into https://mermaid.live to see the rendered diagram.

Option 4 (for repo maintainers): Add a fallback
If people often read your repo on mobile, you can export the diagram as an SVG/PNG and include it next to (or instead of) the Mermaid block, so it shows up everywhere.

Help prioritize it

Upvote the existing feedback discussions so the GitHub Mobile team sees there's demand for it, and include your app version and iOS version in your post (Profile > Settings > About in the app).
