Salam, everyone 👋
I maintain Awesome Free AI Tools — 290+ tools across 46 categories, all with free tiers you can actually use.
Most "free AI tools" lists are full of 7-day trials and credit-card walls. So I set three rules: no card and no expiring trial, usable for real work, and every entry has to say what the catch is. That last one is really the whole point — each tool reads like:
Free tiers also change constantly, so I keep a Removed section for everything that died and when. Phind shut down, GitHub Models got retired, Cerebras killed its free tier, plus Sora, Codeium and Tabnine. There's a Trending section at the top for whatever shifted most recently.
Covers chatbots, image and video gen, coding, APIs, local LLMs, RAG, agents, OCR and about 35 more.

One thing I'm stuck on: re-checking 290 free tiers every quarter by hand isn't sustainable. I was thinking of a
lastVerifieddate per tool so stale entries flag themselves, but that feels like a band-aid. Has anyone solved this properly? Also happy to hear about tools I've missed 👀
