Search bar disappears when pressing Space while focused

Description

Pressing the Space key causes the search bar to disappear. Once it disappears, it does not come back unless the page is reloaded.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the page where the search bar is visible.
2. Press the Space key.
3. Notice that the search bar disappears.
4. Reload the page to make the search bar appear again.

Expected Behavior

The search bar should remain visible when pressing the Space key.

Actual Behavior

The search bar disappears and does not reappear until the page is reloaded.
