Contributor Proposal: Route Discovery & API Upgrade Engine

Hi Understudy team,

I'm Bashar Almuntaser, an AI engineer interested in becoming an active open-source contributor to Understudy.

I'm particularly interested in the Route Discovery & API Upgrade workstream.

I'd like to contribute to a substantial engineering deliverable involving:

• Automatic discovery of API alternatives to GUI workflows.
• Safe selection and upgrading of execution routes.
• Reliability and performance benchmarking.
• Integration tests and technical documentation.

I'm interested in taking ownership of a well-defined component and contributing through design reviews, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.

Is this workstream currently open for contributors? If so, could you point me to the relevant architecture discussions, existing implementation, and maintainer coordinating the work?

I'd be happy to submit a technical RFC before implementation.
