Banana Studio 0.1.4
Banana Studio 0.1.4 is a reliability release: failed downloads, refreshes and loads now show an error and keep your work instead of losing it silently.
- Failed downloads are never saved as media or added as references, a failed variation card stays visible, and a failed template load or reference refresh is reported instead of showing an empty list.
- Image jobs: the stuck-pending watchdog no longer fails queued images or live video submissions, the audit is finalized before an undispatched job is closed, and live media links stay valid during the periodic refresh.
- Editing: edit layers never resize past the image edge and each layer is feathered by its own size; every image number in a list stays bound to its reference.
- Gallery and keyboard: gallery pages keep loading until the view can scroll, Shift+0 fits all images on Turkish and German keyboards, arrow keys scroll wide YouTube previews, Cmd/Ctrl+Enter and Escape shortcuts no longer trigger background actions, and Help Center keeps keyboard focus.
- Security and limits: reference media URLs must use strict HTTPS with valid credentials, YouTube requests are sanitized with credential-free failure logs, Seedance 2.0 reference images and video/audio attachments respect the model limits, and PostCSS and Vite carry their security patches.
- Exported media files use Banana branding in their names.
Validation: source, database and desktop CI on this exact commit, local signature and archive verification for both Mac architectures, and the Windows package hash and source-commit check. No paid provider was contacted. Physical Windows interaction and a manual Mac update were not tested for this release.
Download the ZIP for your platform and extract it before launching. Mac Apple Silicon uses arm64; Intel Mac uses x64. Windows uses windows-x64. API keys and gallery files stay in your own local workspace.
These are community builds. Mac updates and appcasts are cryptographically signed with the existing Banana Studio update key, but Apple notarization is not provided. Windows is an unsigned community build. Existing installation instructions and privacy/security approval steps still apply.
Banana Studio 0.1.3
Banana Studio 0.1.3 improves image inspection and desktop reliability.
- Inspect gallery images with visible zoom controls or + / − / 0. Text fields, browser zoom and gallery navigation keep their shortcuts.
- Folder counts and descendant costs now use one index. Large and deeply nested libraries avoid repeated scans and recursive traversal.
- Mac and Windows remember normal window size and position, and keep the window reachable after a monitor is disconnected.
- Mac startup now stops waiting after 30 seconds if the local workspace cannot start, with saved data retained.
The BAMA adaptation report explains the research, benchmark scope and follow-up ideas. Türkçe rapor.
Validation: source, database and desktop CI, Swift geometry/startup tests, Windows placement self-test, synthetic browser inspection, and packaged local generation with mocked providers. No paid provider was contacted. Physical Windows display/DPI interaction was not manually tested.

Banana Studio 0.1.2 — Flexible AI providers
Use the AI accounts you already have. Provider keys are optional; Auto selects a configured same-model route before submission, or you can pin a provider in AI settings and the generation/edit composer.
- OpenRouter: GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro/2.1, Opus 5.5, GPT-6.1 Sol, Gemini text/YouTube footage analysis and supported Seedance video.
- fal.ai: GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro/2.1, Seedance 2.0/2.5 and the existing H3 Max modes.
- Google Gemini: direct Nano image generation alongside Gemini text and analysis. Direct OpenAI and EvoLink remain available.
- Saved image jobs retain their provider across reloads/restarts. Ambiguous paid requests are never retried at a different provider. Generation details show the actual route; unknown costs stay unknown.
- Area edits keep source pixels outside the selected area unchanged on every image route. Reference-only generation uses the complete new result and is not automatically turned into a protected edit.
- Opus 5.5 / Medium remains the default creative model. Thinking is still configurable. English and Turkish setup/key guides now explain single-provider setups.
Provider differences: OpenRouter Seedance in this app supports text, first/last frames and image references (up to 9). Choose a fixed duration and ratio; Seedance 2.5 there supports 480p/720p. Use fal.ai or EvoLink for video/audio references, 2.5 Edit/Extend, Auto duration or 1080p. “Relaxed” is specific to EvoLink. H3 Max needs fal.ai. YouTube search/metadata still needs a separate YouTube Data API key; some reference-video preprocessing needs fal.ai.
Verification: 25 JavaScript tests, 5 Swift tests, both TypeScript checks, builds, a fresh isolated database and public/history/distribution audits. Packaged mock-provider tests exercised 9 image model/provider combinations, protected edits, new reference generation, exact five-idea batches on three OpenRouter text models, footage input, video task ownership and uncertain-request handling. Each protected edit preserved all 786,432 outside pixels in the fixture. No paid AI request was made. Windows CI checks its build, Credential Manager and packaged generation/edit flow; interactive Windows UI was not verified on a physical Windows machine.
Download the matching ZIP below. Standalone Mac/Windows apps require no Supabase, Vercel or separate Node installation. Mac community builds are not Apple-notarized; follow the first-open steps in the README. Windows remains an unsigned preview. Keep your existing local data folder when updating.
Banana Studio 0.1.1 — Mac + Windows preview
Banana Studio now has a standalone Windows x64 portable app alongside Apple Silicon and Intel Mac builds. Both use the same gallery, Library, templates, image/video preview, generation, Brainstorm, Enhance and area editor.
- Added Windows Credential Manager storage for provider keys, native file dialogs/downloads, dark menus, app icon and fullscreen.
- Matched editing, search, generation and prompt shortcuts with Command on Mac and Ctrl on Windows. Added Mac Redo and an explicit native file picker.
- Unified text/image paste handling, including clipboard file fallback without duplicate references. Plain text and @ mentions retain normal editor behavior.
- Verified Library references, People and templates survive restart with fresh local image URLs. Protected edits retain source pixels outside the selection.
- Added Windows packaging and tests to CI, including an isolated Credential Manager check and mocked packaged generation/area edit. No paid generation is needed for these checks.

- Intel Mac: Banana-Studio-0.1.1-macos-x64.zip
- Windows 10/11 on Intel/AMD 64-bit PCs: Banana-Studio-0.1.1-windows-x64.zip. Extract the entire folder and open BananaStudio.exe. Microsoft WebView2 Runtime is required; .NET and Node are bundled. No Supabase or cloud account is required.
Windows is a preview: build, vault and packaged integration checks run on Windows CI, but an interactive Windows UI/clipboard/playback session has not been verified by the maintainer for this release. Updates are manual through GitHub Releases. The archive is unsigned; compare its hash with verification-windows-x64.json.
Mac builds are community builds, not notarized by Apple. Their Sparkle feed and archives are signed and verified independently. Gallery and provider keys remain outside the app when updating.

Banana Studio 0.1.0 — Community macOS
Standalone Banana Studio for macOS 13.5 or later. This community build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID and is not notarized by Apple.
Unzip the archive for your Mac, move Banana Studio.app to Applications, try opening it, then approve this app in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Do not disable Gatekeeper or SIP. Apple installation instructions.
Provider keys are entered in the app and stored in macOS Keychain. The gallery and SQLite database stay in ~/Library/Application Support/Banana Studio/. No hosted Banana Studio account, Supabase project or separate Node installation is required. AI providers require your own accounts, API keys and internet connection; provider usage is billed by those providers. Keep the app open while jobs run.
Sparkle verifies signed update feeds and archives with the application's pinned Ed25519 public key. macOS may ask again for access to saved Keychain entries after an ad hoc signed update.
The downloadable bundles contain application code and licensed dependencies. No maintainer provider keys, production database, account list, reference photos or generated user media are included. Source is MIT licensed; dependencies retain their respective notices.
See README, SECURITY.md and the architecture-specific verification record for configuration and trust boundaries.
