Keiko 0.3.9 (v0.3.9)
Keiko 0.3.9
Keiko's first public download release. Pick your platform below, unzip, and start it —
Node.js and the OpenCode sidecar are already inside; nothing else has to be installed.
Unsigned evaluation build (ADR-0121 D1, ADR-0163 D9). The bundles are sealed, so macOS
will not report a damaged app, but they carry no Apple Developer ID, no notarization and no
Windows trusted publisher yet. That is why the first launch needs the one extra confirmation
described below. Every integrity digest, containment and provenance check stays enforced.
What changed
Keiko 0.3.9 Release Notes
High · Fixes
- Knowledge Pod indexing against self-hosted OpenAI-compatible gateways (LiteLLM and similar) now reports answered embedding failures with their HTTP status instead of a misleading "model gateway is not reachable", uses the same certificate trust as chat (system CA fallback), retries transient 5xx/408/425 answers, and recovers automatically after a first failed run instead of pinning the pod to a provisional embedding identity.
- Workspace state no longer loses dirty snapshots to deterministic 412 conflicts on reload, closed windows stay closed after a reload, and the background-window modal lock blurs focused descendants before applying aria-hidden, fixing the Chrome accessibility violation.
- Desktop chat readiness and turn lifecycle were hardened: readiness probes verify a usable assistant answer (content-part arrays included), unready models are rejected before persistence on every path, an omitted modelId prefers a conversation-ready chat model, rejected legacy requests leave no orphaned user message and restore chat recency, and cancellation during memory retrieval settles before any provider call.
- Quality-intelligence runs whose judge prompts exceed the model budget now persist a visible judge degradation instead of presenting an unqualified success, run-progress strings are localized (EN/DE), and the prompt enhancer scopes German travel framing to planning intent so definitions, translations, and price comparisons are no longer rewritten as itinerary planning.
- Window focus races were closed: a delayed text-entry focus is invalidated by any later window interaction, including resize grabs and pressed-and-held maximize buttons.
