• Model gateway: streamed answers are bound by silence and a generous budget instead of one flat timeout; whole-body calls, embeddings, rerank and voice get per-call floors; the setup default rises to 120 s.
• Coding Workbench: a usable output budget for models that declare none, an admission check that never sends a request past the proven window, an explicit output-exhausted failure, and a profile that says a verification is still pending instead of refusing.
• Readiness and setup: automatic probes run with their own floors, an unanswered, rate-limited or overloaded probe is retried after a minute, and a slow discovery candidate stays configured but unverified.
• Git: the commit draft survives slow gateways and reasoning models, with its own timeout and exhausted-budget errors.
• Chat: gateway timeouts and exhausted output budgets show consistent, translated messages that never blame the request size.

• Keiko now ships first-class portable downloads for Windows x64, macOS arm64, and macOS x64 so users can download once and start from the bundled launcher; npm remains available for developer and compatibility workflows.
