Keiko 1.2.1 Release Notes

High · Fixes

  • Connected sources: keep explicitly named files and requested implementation bodies in the evidence, including supported imports, callable relationships, document predicates and recursive call cycles, without increasing the caller's read, token or elapsed-time grants. Scope denials and exhausted budgets remain enforced.
  • Grounded chat: preserve the original question through source search, fit relevant excerpt bodies into the actual model context, and keep physical citation ranges and sent-source accounting aligned. Failed or cancelled work retains its diagnostic evidence.
  • Files and sources: keep the acknowledged folder aligned with pending reads and source links, preserve relevant document content, and distinguish inspected files from evidence sent to the model.
  • Code blocks: copying code releases its status timer when the block closes and ignores late clipboard replies, preserving the visible confirmation while the block remains open.
  • Gateways: normal project startup preserves configured providers and model selection; readiness refreshes without reopening Settings. Region-qualified model identifiers are accepted through the existing validated model store.
  • Coding Workbench: stream answers and reasoning from compatible self-hosted models, attempt one bounded repair of an empty or exhausted answer, and report temporary gateway outages during the configured recovery window. Repository instructions are included as bounded task context.
  • Coding Workbench: preserve ordinary file-edit text byte for byte, support governed deletion and rename, and require fresh verification after the last edit before claiming completion. Configured provider credentials are still redacted, and other tools retain their existing redaction and authority checks.
  • Coding limits: new runs default to 2,000,000 prompt tokens and 120 minutes. Operators can retain the previous 200,000-token and 30-minute limits with KEIKO_CODING_RUNTIME_MAX_PROMPT_TOKENS and KEIKO_CODING_RUNTIME_MAX_DURATION_MINUTES. Explicit narrower ceilings remain enforced.
  • Known model limitation: the original long-context Gemma question still fails complete answer and validated-citation qualification despite better source evidence. This release does not claim complete Gemma qualification, standalone OpenCode parity or production Windows Coding execution.
  • Update: restart after installation. When upgrading from before 1.2.0, review custom support scripts for the canonical private report workflow; legacy inclusion flags, filename-based export output and sidecar bundles remain unsupported. Cross-platform automatic carry-forward is not newly qualified by this release.
