When attempting to connect via SSL with the mac client (SSL Handshake error) this happens only with the Mac client (Windows client connects to the same setup without issue)

The Server side is Oracle Enterprise Linux, running OC 5.0.9 with Oracle backend, client is 1.3

Here is a screen cap of the logs from the client side when trying to connect:

I get the same "ownCloudInfo Network Error: #6" to the status.php call as above. There are more details in #712. What can I do to help work through this? I have a Mac oc-client log and wireshark traces from the Mac client that fails and the linux client that works.

Hi,

there are some reports in the forum:

https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=14253
https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=11868&p=31254#p31461
https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2751#p5640

that such issues where fixed in the Mac Client when configuring your apache vhost correctly.

@RealRancor Yes, I advised @bboule about that already. Next time I'll do it here so everyone is informed. Thanks for sharing the links.

I think I get the same/related error.
I'm using a self-signed certificate which is signed by my own CA (created by the os x keychain assistant)
The Browser access (Chrome on OS X) works fine.
On Android I can access by Chrome and the owncloud App without any Problems, too (of course i've imported the CA first)
Only the mac client keeps telling me SSL handshake failed (tried current stable and beta version of the client)

Hi,

have you tried the workarounds linked in my comment above: #831 (comment)

I used niginx as a server and all of the posts where about apache. Anyway, my main goal was to share files and so i've switched to bittorrent sync which works fine ;)

Hi,

in NginX its also possible to configure a wrong server name which doesn't match your certificate. ;-)
